Terms of Service
Last updated 26 September 2026
These terms govern your use of purser (askpurser.com), an AI customer-support service for online stores. By creating a workspace you agree to them on behalf of yourself and the business you represent.
Your workspace
A workspace belongs to the business that created it. Owners and admins manage its members, settings and billing, and are responsible for what the workspace's members do in it.
You must give us accurate information and keep your sign-in secure. Test workspaces are for trying purser out; do not use them to serve real customers.
Your content and your customers
You keep all rights to the content you add (articles, files, product and order data) and to your customers' conversations. You give us permission to process it only to run purser for you: answering customers, translating, searching your knowledge, and showing it to your team.
You are responsible for having the right to share that data with us, including your customers' personal data, and for telling your customers that an AI assistant may answer them. purser labels AI replies as such.
The AI answers from your sources and checks answers before they are sent, but it can still be wrong. You decide how much it may do on its own (autonomy levels, refund limits) and you remain responsible for what is said and done in your name.
Plans, billing and invoices
Paid plans are billed per workspace, monthly or yearly in advance, in US dollars and exclusive of taxes. AI conversations beyond your plan's allowance and members beyond its included seats are billed at the end of each month at the rates shown on the pricing page. Conversations handled only by people are not metered.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Upgrades take effect once the prorated difference is paid; downgrades take effect immediately with a credit toward future invoices. Invoices show the company details you provide.
If a payment fails we retry it. After 7 days the workspace works under the Free plan's limits until the balance is paid. We do not delete data because of a failed payment.
You can cancel at any time from the billing portal. Your plan runs until the end of the period you paid for and is not refunded pro rata, except where the law requires it.
Acceptable use
Do not use purser to send spam or marketing messages through customer channels, to mislead customers, to process data you have no right to process, or to break the rules of the channels you connect (such as Meta's WhatsApp and Instagram policies).
Do not attempt to access other workspaces, overload the service, or reverse engineer it. We may suspend a workspace that puts the service or other customers at risk, and will tell you why.
Availability and changes
We work to keep purser available and your data safe, but the service is provided as is. We may change features; we will announce price changes at least 30 days before they apply to you.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it arose, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Ending
You can stop using purser and ask us to delete your workspace at any time. We may end these terms with 30 days' notice, or immediately for a serious breach. When you ask us to delete a workspace, its data is removed from our systems within 30 days, except where we must keep records (such as invoices) by law.
